6) The slope of the tangent line on the original graph is the same as the position of the points on the imposed graph.

8) 1.396m - 1.042m = 0.354m

9) The area under the curve represents the total cumulative growth over that period of time and is roughly the same as the maximum value of the original graph minus the minumum value.

10) The generalization that a child at age three will be half of his or her adult height holds true based on the data. Since Colin was 1.75m tall at his adult height of age 20 and was 0.908m at age three, he was 0.066m (6.6cm) shorter than his expected adult height based on his height at age three. He grew the most when he was a toddler as indicated by the slope of the first curve from birth to five years old and also the position of the points on the growth rate graph over the same interval of time.
